We’re over the moon to share that Nomada Digital has been shortlisted for ‘Scale-Up of the Year (up to £3m)’ at The Business Desk’s Yorkshire Growth Awards 2027. The shortlisting recognises a year in which we’ve quadrupled our client base and broken into the US market.
A panel of judges and sponsors drew up the shortlist, and winners will be announced on 18th March 2027 at the Royal Armouries in Leeds. We’re in strong company in our category too, celebrating alongside Apollo3D, Boost Talent, Flotilla Group, Herd IT Consulting, Play Padel Group and Sam Teale Productions.
How we got here
Our CEO, Danny Sullivan, founded Nomada Digital in York in 2020 as a one-person SEO consultancy. He’d spent years in agency and in-house roles, and set out to build something lean, senior-led and results-driven.
Over the six years since, we’ve grown into a fully integrated, remote-first agency with a six-strong senior team, without investors or bank debt. Every account is still run by someone senior, and that’s not something we’ll compromise on as we grow.
Our biggest push has come in the last 12 to 18 months. When AI Overviews and tools like ChatGPT started answering buyers’ questions before they reached a website, we didn’t wait to see how it played out. We built AI visibility into our offering, formalised our framework and brought PR in-house, because earned media now shapes how brands show up in AI results. It’s also the year we entered the New York market.
Commenting on the shortlist, Danny said:
“Scaling usually means investors and a big headcount, but we’ve done it differently - senior people on every account, every channel working as one system, and growth built organically.
“Being shortlisted alongside some of Yorkshire’s fastest-growing businesses is a proud moment for the whole team, and we’re delighted to be recognised for what’s been a fantastic year of growth. We’ve got some exciting things in the pipeline that we’re looking forward to sharing soon, but for now, we’re enjoying the shortlisting - and we’ll be heading to the Royal Armouries in March hoping to bring the award home.”
The news follows Nomada’s shortlisting in The York Press BUSINESSiQ Awards 2026.
