Runs on alwayscited by Nomada Digital.

Where shop SEO is won

Category pages do the heavy lifting.

Most shop searches are for a type of product, not one product. The category page is what ranks for them, so that is where we start.

  • One cluster per categoryEach category page targets one group of searches and its close variations, with the prompts shoppers ask AI about it.
  • Copy that helps people chooseShort, useful copy on the page - sizing, materials, who it suits - not a block of keywords under the products.
  • Filters that don’t eat your crawl budgetFilter and sort pages kept out of the index unless people really search for them.
  • Out-of-stock handled properlySeasonal and sold-out products kept or redirected so the rankings they built aren’t thrown away.

How we measure it

Orders, not just traffic.

Traffic that doesn’t buy is a vanity number. We report what organic search and AI answers bring in.

  • Revenue and new customersOrders and revenue from organic search in your analytics, with new customers split out.
  • Keyword clusters, checked dailyEvery cluster’s Google positions, so you can see what is moving and why.
  • AI answers, trackedalwaystracked checks whether ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Google’s AI name your shop for each cluster, and who they name instead.

FAQ

Questions, answered.

What does an ecommerce SEO agency do?

It gets your category and product pages ranking for the searches your customers make, fixes the technical problems that stop large catalogues being crawled, earns links and placements on the pages shoppers read, and - now - gets your shop named in AI answers. We report on orders and revenue from organic search, not just traffic.

Which platforms do you work with?

Shopify most often, and any platform that lets us edit pages, templates and redirects - WooCommerce, Magento (Adobe Commerce) and BigCommerce included. The work is the same - category pages, product pages, technical fixes, links and AI visibility - but each platform has its own quirks, and we fix them in the platform you already use.

Do you build or redesign shops?

Search comes first, but we can redesign the pages that matter for it. This autumn we redesigned London Ski Co’s Shopify store - homepage, collection, product and store pages - alongside its SEO.

How long does ecommerce SEO take?

It depends on your competition and where you start. We track your keyword clusters daily from the first week, so you can see what is moving long before the revenue follows. Monthly plans, no minimum term.

How do I know if AI answers name my shop?

Run the free scan at the top of this page. It asks ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Google’s AI five buyer prompts about your category and shows who they name. It runs on alwayscited, Nomada Digital’s own AI visibility platform.
