Most "best SEO agency for B2B" lists are written by agencies who rank themselves first and hope you don't notice.

We've ranked ourselves first too. So here's the deal: the methodology is published below, we've said who we left out and why, and every other agency on this list is described the way they'd describe themselves.

Nine of the ten below are genuinely good at B2B. The question isn't which one is objectively best. The question is which one fits the shape of your business, your budget, and the stage you're at.

Nomada Digital publishes this list. We've explained the reasoning below rather than pretending to be a neutral party.

How we built this list

Five criteria got an agency onto it.

1. Genuine B2B focus, not a B2C agency with a B2B page bolted on.

2. Evidence of pipeline outcomes - leads, SQLs, deals - rather than traffic charts and ranking screenshots.

3. Capability across more than one platform, because a B2B buying decision now runs across 10 or more touchpoints.

4. Readiness for AI search: whether the agency can get a client named in ChatGPT answers and Google AI Overviews, not just ranked on page one.

5. A clear engagement model, so you know who's actually doing the work before you sign anything.

This is a UK list. Every agency below is a B2B SEO agency UK buyers can sit down with in person, which matters more than people expect once a 12-month programme is running.

Who we left out: large generalist network agencies who serve B2B as a side line, freelancers and one-person consultancies - some of them excellent, but the continuity risk is a different conversation - and agencies with no published case studies.

We're a B2B SEO agency ourselves, so treat our own entry with the scepticism it deserves. Judge it on the numbers in it, not the position. Every other description here is built from how each agency presents itself publicly, because inventing comparative verdicts about nine competitors would be dishonest and you'd spot it anyway. There are no paid placements, affiliate arrangements or reciprocal link deals on this page.

B2B isn't B2C with a longer sales cycle

A B2C search strategy and a B2B search strategy share a toolkit and almost nothing else.

Take a £60k annual contract. The buying committee runs to six or ten people. The cycle runs 6-18 months. The person who first searches the problem is rarely the person who signs it off, and the term that starts the whole thing often gets 40 searches a month rather than 40,000.

A generalist agency optimises for what it can show you quickly: volume, rankings, sessions. Those numbers are real, and in ecommerce they track revenue closely. In B2B they often don't. We've worked on accounts where organic traffic dropped and qualified pipeline went up, because the traffic that left was never going to buy anything.

A specialist B2B SEO agency works the other way round. It starts from the deal, works back to the committee, and targets the terms a procurement-stage buyer would actually type. Fewer clicks, better ones.

Here's what changes in practice.

The 10 best SEO agencies for B2B in 2026

1. Nomada Digital

Based in: York, UK, working with clients in the UK and the US. Best for: B2B businesses that need to be visible everywhere their buyers look, in the right order.

Nomada is a B2B search and cross-platform visibility agency built on a five-tier framework. Tier one is a compounding foundation of SEO, AEO and link acquisition. Tier two extends it organically through content and CRO. Tier three adds efficient paid via Bing and LinkedIn. Tier four builds an authority layer of brand PR and Reddit. Tier five scales with Google Ads. The order is the point - each tier makes the next one cheaper and more effective. Recent client outcomes include Vibe Retail moving from position 83 to number one in three months with 25% ChatGPT visibility, Novuna at +163% qualified leads and +88% conversion rate, and Devyce at +190% leads with 61 keywords in the top 10.

Worth knowing: a lean senior team rather than a large agency, so capacity is deliberately limited.

2. Gripped

Based in: London. Best for: B2B SaaS and technology companies chasing pipeline, not traffic.

Gripped works almost exclusively with B2B tech and SaaS businesses, combining SEO with paid and conversion work under a growth remit rather than a channel one. Their reporting is oriented around pipeline contribution, which makes them a comfortable fit for companies whose marketing team already reports to revenue targets. If you're specifically looking for a B2B SaaS SEO agency, they're the closest match on this list.

Worth knowing: strongest fit if you're a funded SaaS business with an existing demand-gen motion.

3. POLARIS

Based in: London. Best for: B2B tech marketing teams who want demand generation and SEO joined up.

POLARIS focuses on B2B technology and SaaS, with SEO sitting inside a wider demand generation offering rather than running as a standalone retainer. They publish detailed thinking on how B2B search differs from B2C, which is a useful filter in itself - you can read it before you ever book a call. The model suits marketing teams who already know the difference between lead gen and demand gen and want a partner who does too.

Worth knowing: a good option if your challenge is category creation rather than harvesting existing demand.

4. Hallam

Based in: Nottingham. Best for: mid-market B2B businesses wanting one integrated partner.

Hallam is a long-established integrated agency covering SEO, paid, strategy and analytics, with a substantial B2B client base. The pitch is consolidation. If you'd rather hold one accountable partner across several channels than manage a roster of specialists and referee the gaps between them, they're an obvious shortlist entry - and for a small in-house team that's a real operational saving.

Worth knowing: breadth is the draw. If you want deep single-channel specialism, look elsewhere on this list.

5. Impression

Based in: Nottingham and London. Best for: larger B2B brands who want data-led work across channels.

Impression works across SEO, paid media, digital PR and analytics, with a strong measurement culture. They suit bigger B2B organisations with complex attribution questions - several products, long cycles, and internal stakeholders who want the numbers to stand up before the next quarter gets signed off.

Worth knowing: a stronger fit for established brands than early-stage businesses.

6. Blue Array

Based in: Reading. Best for: companies with an in-house team that needs SEO capability added to it.

Blue Array is an SEO-only specialist, which is unusual and useful. Most agencies widen their offering as they grow, so staying narrow means the depth goes into one channel. The model works particularly well as an extension of an in-house team - strategy, technical depth and execution support, without taking the whole channel away from you.

Worth knowing: SEO only, so you'll still need partners for paid, PR and AI visibility.

7. Builtvisible

Based in: London. Best for: large, complex or technically awkward B2B websites.

Builtvisible has a long track record in technical SEO and content strategy for complicated sites - migrations, large architectures, international setups, and the kind of platform problems that quietly cap organic performance no matter how much you publish. If your issue is structural rather than editorial, they're a strong fit.

Worth knowing: best value when there's genuine technical complexity to solve.

8. The SEO Works

Based in: Sheffield. Best for: SMEs and mid-market B2B who want straightforward reporting.

The SEO Works covers SEO, PPC and web development for growing businesses, with a reputation for clear, accessible reporting. If you don't have a large in-house marketing function, that transparency is often worth more than exotic strategy - you can take the report into a board meeting and defend it without a translator.

Worth knowing: a broad client base across B2B and B2C rather than a pure B2B specialist.

9. Velocity Partners

Based in: London. Best for: B2B brands whose real problem is positioning, not technical SEO.

Velocity Partners built their reputation on B2B content marketing and brand thinking, which is a different diagnosis from most of this list. If your site is technically fine but your content is indistinguishable from every competitor's, the constraint is messaging, and that's their territory.

Worth knowing: content and brand-led, so pair them with a technical partner if the site has structural issues.

10. Geeky Tech

Based in: UK. Best for: B2B technology firms running SEO alongside HubSpot.

Geeky Tech specialises in SEO for B2B technology companies, with an emphasis on connecting organic performance to the CRM so search activity can be traced through to the sales pipeline. If you run HubSpot and nobody can currently tell you which deals started with an organic search, that's the gap a B2B tech SEO agency like this one closes.

Worth knowing: narrow specialism by design. A strong fit if you're in B2B tech, less so outside it.

Also worth a look: Push Group (London), Angelfish Marketing (Cheltenham), Aira (Milton Keynes), Tiga (UK) and Bulldog Digital Media (Essex) all do credible B2B work and are worth a conversation if none of the above fits.

What a B2B SEO agency actually costs in the UK

Nobody publishes this, so here it is.

Most UK B2B SEO work is retainer-based, and anything under about £1,500 a month rarely buys enough senior time to move a competitive B2B market. The work that matters in the first quarter is senior and strategic, and it costs what it costs.

The table below is UK market benchmark ranges for each engagement type. They are not quotes for any agency named on this page - we don't know what the other nine charge and we're not going to guess. Ask each one directly, and ask what the number buys in senior hours.

One more question worth asking: whether the retainer includes link acquisition and digital PR, or whether those are billed on top. That single answer moves the real cost by thousands a month.

Engagement typeTypical monthly rangeBest suited toWhat's usually included

The gap almost every agency on this list still has

A single B2B buying decision now runs across 10 or more touchpoints and at least four platforms. Google, ChatGPT, Bing, LinkedIn, Reddit, the trade press, your own site.

AI Overviews and ChatGPT increasingly answer the question without a click, so the buyer sees a recommendation before they see a results page. That changes the job. Ranking first for a term nobody clicks is a hollow win.

If you aren't named in that answer, you're not on the shortlist - and you never find out you were excluded. There's no impression data for a conversation you weren't part of, and no line in Search Console for a deal that got decided in a chat window. You just quietly stop being considered.

The mechanism is simple enough. AI tools don't hold opinions about who's good; they recommend businesses they can find evidence for. Third-party mentions. Consistent presence across platforms. Credible coverage in publications that get cited. Which means digital PR, links and content aren't three line items competing for the same budget - they all feed the same machine, and that machine now writes the shortlist.

Try the five-minute test. Open ChatGPT and ask "who are the best [what you do] in [your sector]?" Then ask twice more with different phrasing. See whether you appear, and see who does instead. It's usually a sobering exercise, because the names that come back aren't the best businesses in the category, they're the most visible ones.

Being straight about this: most agencies on this list are excellent at classical SEO, and several are actively building AI visibility capability. But it's still mostly treated as a by-product of ranking well rather than a discipline with its own strategy, measurement and budget line. The question isn't whether your agency has heard of AI search. The question is whether anyone there can tell you what percentage of relevant ChatGPT answers currently name you.

How to shortlist a B2B SEO agency

Three calls is usually enough to separate good from plausible. The difference shows up in how specific the answers get when you push on them.

Ask for B2B case studies in your sector, then ask what happened to pipeline rather than traffic. Ask who does the work day to day, and insist on meeting them. Ask what they'd report on every month, and whether they'd hold you to a 12-month contract to do it.

Anyone selling B2B SEO services should be able to answer all seven of these without going away to check. If the answer arrives as a slide about their process instead, that's your answer.

What to checkWhy it mattersWhat a good answer looks like

The honest caveat

We rank ourselves first on a list we publish. Weight that accordingly.

We're also a lean team, which means we turn work away when capacity is full. Several agencies on this list can absorb a large programme starting tomorrow and we can't - that's a genuine disadvantage if you need to move at scale next month.

We don't do brand creative, we don't build large websites, and we don't buy media at scale. If you need a single partner covering brand, creative, web build and media buying, an integrated agency further down this list is the better call, and we'd rather say that on the first call than stretch to fit.

Our model is narrow on purpose: visibility across search, AI and the platforms where B2B buyers actually decide. Narrow means we're either the obvious answer to your problem or the wrong one. That's the trade.

Frequently asked questions

Is SEO worth it for B2B?

Yes, with one caveat: it compounds rather than spikes. You won't see a step change in month two, and any agency promising one is selling something else. The economics work because B2B deal values are high and intent-led search catches buyers who are already in market. One £60k contract from organic pays for a year of retainer. The risk isn't that SEO fails in B2B. It's that you measure it monthly and cancel it in month four.

How much does a B2B SEO agency cost in the UK?

The benchmark ranges are in the table above. Most UK SMEs and scale-ups land at £3,000 to £8,000 a month with a boutique B2B specialist. Integrated mid-market agencies run £6,000 to £15,000, enterprise and multi-market programmes start around £15,000, and one-off audits sit at £2,000 to £8,000. Those are market ranges, not quotes from any agency named on this page. Ask each one what the number buys in senior hours.

Which SEO agencies are best in the UK for B2B?

The ten above all do credible B2B work: Nomada Digital, Gripped, POLARIS, Hallam, Impression, Blue Array, Builtvisible, The SEO Works, Velocity Partners and Geeky Tech. Best depends on stage, sector and budget. A funded SaaS scale-up, a 200-person manufacturer and a professional services firm should each end up with a different answer, and any list that hands all three the same name is guessing.

What's the difference between a B2B SEO agency and a generalist?

Four things change, and they are set out in the comparison table above. Keyword strategy moves from high-volume head terms to low-volume, high-intent ones. The success metric moves from traffic to qualified pipeline. The buying cycle stretches from weeks to 6-18 months across a committee. Conversion stops meaning add-to-cart and starts meaning demo requests and RFP entries. A generalist can be very good and still be optimising for the wrong finish line.

How long does B2B SEO take to work?

Early movement in three to four months - rankings shifting, the first AI citations, better quality enquiries. Meaningful pipeline usually 6-12 months, because the sales cycle sits on top of the SEO timeline. A new domain in a competitive category is slower. An established site with technical problems can move faster, because you are removing brakes rather than building authority from nothing.

Do I need a separate AI search (AEO/GEO) agency?

No. Splitting it out gives you two strategies competing over the same content and the same links, and AI visibility is built from the same assets as organic visibility. What you do need is a partner who treats it as a discipline with its own measurement rather than a by-product of ranking. Ask how they track the percentage of relevant AI answers that name a client. If there's no answer, it isn't being measured.

What SEO services are available for B2B companies?

Technical SEO, content strategy, digital PR and link acquisition, AEO and GEO for AI search, CRO, and analytics or attribution work. Most B2B SEO companies sell these as a bundled retainer and some sell them individually. The sequence matters more than the list - fixing conversion before you have traffic, or buying links before the site can be crawled properly, wastes money in a way that stays invisible for two quarters.

The takeaway

The question isn't "who's the best B2B SEO agency?" The question is "where is our visibility actually breaking, and who fixes that?"

Most businesses hire for a channel when they should be hiring for a gap. There are four common ones.

Technical: the site can't be crawled, indexed or migrated cleanly. Content: nothing you publish survives a procurement conversation. Positioning: you sound like everybody else in the category. Visibility: you're fine on Google and absent everywhere else the committee looks.

Work out which one you have, then go back to the table at the top and pick the agency built for it. On three of those four gaps, somebody else on this list is a better fit than us - and we'd rather you found that out now than nine months in.
