The Best SaaS SEO Agency: 10 UK Agencies Compared

Ten UK agencies doing genuine SaaS SEO work, who each one suits, and what they publish on price. We rank ourselves first - the methodology is below so you can judge whether that is earned.

Comparison table of the 10 best SaaS SEO agencies in the UK, ranked, showing how ready each agency is for AI search

Most "best SaaS SEO agency" lists are written by agencies who rank themselves first and hope you don't notice. A good number of the ones ranking on Google right now are also American, which doesn't help much if you're a UK software company selling into UK and European buyers.

We've ranked ourselves first too. So here's the deal: the methodology is published below, we've said who we left out and why, and every other agency here is described the way they describe themselves.

The question isn't which SaaS SEO agency is objectively best. It's which one fits your stage, your sales motion and your budget.

Nomada Digital publishes this list. We've explained the reasoning below rather than pretending to be a neutral party.

How we built this list

Five criteria got an agency onto it.

1. A published SaaS or software specialism - a dedicated SaaS offer, named software case studies, or a SaaS-only client base.

2. A UK base. Plenty of good SaaS SEO agencies are in the US. If you're a UK company you probably want someone in your time zone who understands UK and EU buyers.

3. Evidence of commercial outcomes - demos, sign-ups, pipeline, MRR - rather than traffic charts alone.

4. Readiness for AI search, because "which tool should I use for X" is now asked in ChatGPT before it's typed into Google.

5. A clear engagement model, so you know who's doing the work.

Who we left out: US-headquartered agencies, freelancers and one-person consultancies, and agencies whose UK base we couldn't confirm from their own site. Some of those are excellent - see "also worth a look" further down.

We're a B2B SaaS SEO agency ourselves, so treat our own entry with the scepticism it deserves. There are no paid placements, affiliate arrangements or reciprocal link deals on this page.

SaaS SEO isn't B2B SEO with a free trial bolted on

SaaS buyers do something most B2B buyers don't: they compare tools in public. They search "X alternatives", "X vs Y", "best CRM software", read G2, then ask ChatGPT which one fits a team their size.

That changes the job.

A generalist will often grow traffic that never books a demo. A SaaS specialist works back from the pages that sit closest to the buying decision and makes sure you're on them - your own pages, and the third-party listicles AI tools quote.

The 10 best SaaS SEO agencies

1. Nomada Digital

Based in: York, UK, working with SaaS companies in the UK and the US. Best for: B2B SaaS that needs to be found in category and comparison searches and named in AI answers.

Nomada is a B2B search and AI visibility agency. We map category, comparison and alternatives clusters to the prompts buyers ask AI, then win them with product pages, content and placements on the pages that already rank. Recent SaaS outcomes include Vibe Retail moving from outside the top 100 to number one on Google in three months and from 0 to 25% ChatGPT brand visibility in two weeks, Neo Agent at +700% non-brand clicks, Devyce at +190% leads with 61 keywords in the top 10, and Volunteero at +250% organic traffic year on year. See the case studies.

Worth knowing: a lean senior team rather than a large agency, so capacity is deliberately limited. We don't run paid social or build websites at scale.

2. Gripped

Based in: London. Best for: funded B2B SaaS that wants SEO and paid run by one team.

Gripped works only with SaaS, AI and tech companies, with SEO sitting alongside GEO, paid search and social, LinkedIn Ads, ABM and web. Their site names clients including Ideagen, Epicor, Ravelin and Crownpeak, and they publish pricing - most engagements land at £8,000-£12,000 a month across the full funnel.

Worth knowing: SEO is one service in a full-funnel model. If you only want SEO, check how much of the retainer it gets.

3. POLARIS

Based in: Gerrards Cross, Buckinghamshire, serving London and beyond. Best for: mid-market and enterprise software companies.

POLARIS is a specialist SEO agency for software and technology businesses, with a dedicated SaaS offer covering decision-maker content, conversion paths, migrations, digital PR and a GEO and AI search service. Named clients on their site include Sidetrade, Talentia, Six Degrees, Reachdesk and Abacum. SaaS SEO is published from £3,100 a month.

Worth knowing: a strong fit if migrations or a complex site are part of the brief.

4. Team 4

Based in: London. Best for: seed to growth-stage SaaS that wants senior people on a small account.

Team 4 describes itself as deliberately small. Their B2B SaaS SEO starts with commercial-intent pages - comparisons, alternatives and use cases - and they'll build on Webflow with technical SEO and GEO included, plus live rank and prompt tracking. Retainers are published from £3,000 a month.

Worth knowing: Webflow-led, which suits you well if you're on Webflow or planning to move.

5. MadX Digital

Based in: London. Best for: Series A and beyond, where AI search visibility is the priority.

MadX works only with B2B SaaS, combining SEO with GEO, content, digital PR and link building, and publishes its own GEO research. Named clients include Nosto, Postalytics, Orderful and Thunes. They publish pricing in US dollars, from around $5,500 a month.

Worth knowing: dollar pricing and a US-heavy client list - useful if you're selling into the US.

6. Position Digital

Based in: Walthamstow, London. Best for: early-stage SaaS that wants SEO with AI search tooling attached.

Position Digital runs SEO, GEO, content and digital PR across several sectors, with SaaS one of its focus areas. Its site includes SaaS case studies for Decentriq and HR Datahub, a GEO audit and free AI visibility tools.

Worth knowing: not SaaS-only, so ask for the software work most like yours.

7. Geeky Tech

Based in: Guildford, with a Los Angeles office. Best for: SaaS that wants SEO and GEO in one package from a UK team.

Geeky Tech has a dedicated B2B SaaS SEO service covering keyword research, technical SEO, content, link building and GEO, plus its own AI visibility platform. They also appear in our best B2B SEO agencies list for HubSpot-led tech firms.

Worth knowing: ask for SaaS case studies on the call - their SaaS page leads on process rather than named results.

8. Exposure Ninja

Based in: London and Nottingham, with a remote team. Best for: SaaS that wants a large, well-documented process.

Exposure Ninja is a multi-sector agency with SaaS case studies and a strong AI search offer, and it publishes a lot of its thinking openly - you can judge the approach before you speak to anyone.

Worth knowing: a generalist with SaaS experience rather than a SaaS-only shop.

9. Impression

Based in: Nottingham, with London, Manchester and New York offices. Best for: scale-ups wanting integrated search and paid from an established agency.

Impression runs SEO, paid and digital PR across sectors, with a SaaS sector offer and a GEO service. The draw is breadth and team size.

Worth knowing: a large agency, so meet the people who'll actually work on your account.

10. Clarity Performance

Based in: London. Best for: B2B tech and software firms running SEO next to PPC and CRO.

Clarity Performance focuses on B2B technology, software and SaaS, combining SEO, PPC and conversion work. It publishes thinking on AI search but leads with performance marketing.

Worth knowing: a good fit if paid is already a big part of your acquisition mix.

Also worth a look: Accelerate Agency, Skale, LinkQuest and Rocket SaaS all do SaaS SEO work. We couldn't confirm a UK head office for every one of them from their own sites, so check that if it matters to you.

What a SaaS SEO agency costs in the UK

More SaaS SEO agencies publish prices than most sectors, which helps. Where an agency on this list publishes a figure, we've used it. Everything else is a market range, not a quote.

Engagement typeTypical monthly rangeBest suited toWhat's usually included
Audit or strategy project£2,500-£8,000 (one-off)SaaS with an in-house marketer who needs a planTechnical audit, keyword and competitor map, roadmap
Small specialist team£3,000-£6,000Seed to Series AStrategy, comparison pages, content, some links
Established SaaS specialist£5,000-£10,000Series A to BFull SEO, digital PR, GEO, reporting to pipeline
Full-funnel growth agency£8,000-£15,000Funded scale-upsSEO plus paid, ABM and web
Swipe the table sideways to see every column.

Published starting points at the time of writing: POLARIS from £3,100, Team 4 from £3,000, Gripped £5,000-£15,000 (most £8,000-£12,000), MadX from around $5,500. Prices change, so check each agency's site.

Ask whether link acquisition and digital PR are in the retainer or billed on top. In competitive SaaS categories that's the line that moves the real cost.

The gap almost every agency on this list still has

A SaaS shortlist is now often written by AI. A buyer asks ChatGPT "what's the best X tool for a 50-person team?" and gets four names. If you're not one of them, you never got a chance.

AI tools don't rank software on merit. They name the tools they can find evidence for - the comparison pages, review sites and listicles that already rank for the category. That means the job is no longer just ranking your own site. It's being on the pages AI quotes.

Try it. Ask ChatGPT, Perplexity and Gemini for the best tool in your category, three different ways. Note who's named and which pages get cited. That list of cited pages is your link and content plan.

Most agencies here are building this capability, and several are good at it. The question to ask any of them: what percentage of relevant AI answers currently name us, and how will you move it?

The honest caveat

We rank ourselves first on a list we publish. Weight that accordingly.

We're a lean team and we turn work away when we're full. Several agencies here can staff a large programme next week; we can't always. We don't run full-funnel paid and ABM the way Gripped does, and we don't build websites the way Team 4 does. If you need one partner for SEO, paid and web, someone else on this list is the better call.

Our focus is narrow on purpose: getting B2B software found where buyers compare tools, on Google and in AI answers.

Frequently asked questions

What does a SaaS SEO agency do?

It grows organic acquisition for software companies, mostly through category and comparison keywords, product and use-case pages, technical SEO, content and links. The good ones report against trials, demos and pipeline rather than traffic, and now track how often AI tools name you when buyers ask for recommendations.

How much does SaaS SEO cost in the UK?

Most UK SaaS companies spend £3,000-£10,000 a month with a specialist. Published starting points include POLARIS from £3,100 and Team 4 from £3,000, with full-funnel agencies like Gripped higher. One-off audits typically run £2,500-£8,000.

Is a B2B SaaS SEO agency different from a SaaS SEO agency?

Usually it's the same thing described differently, but it's worth checking. B2B SaaS SEO leans on longer sales cycles, buying committees and demo-led conversion. Self-serve or B2C SaaS leans on sign-up volume. Ask which motion the agency's case studies come from.

How long does SaaS SEO take to work?

Expect early movement in three to four months and meaningful pipeline in six to twelve. Comparison and alternatives pages can move faster because the intent is so close to purchase. A new domain in a crowded category is slower.

Do I need a separate GEO or AEO agency for AI search?

No. AI visibility is built from the same assets as organic visibility - content, links and third-party mentions. Splitting them gives you two strategies competing for the same budget. You do need a partner who measures AI visibility as its own number.

Should a UK SaaS company hire a US SaaS SEO agency?

If the US is your main market, it can make sense. If you sell into the UK and Europe, a UK agency will understand your buyers, spelling and time zone better - and several UK agencies, us included, also rank UK software in the US. Our UK to US SEO work is built for exactly that.

The takeaway

The question isn't "who's the best SaaS SEO agency?" It's "where are we missing from the buying conversation?"

For most SaaS companies it's one of three places: the category and comparison pages on Google, the listicles and review sites that rank above you, or the AI answers built from both. Work out which one, then pick the agency built for it.
